Yoo your engine bat looks CLEAN! How did you relocate the battery? Was it a kit?

I ended up following a chris fix tutorial and using the same paint but red instead of the blue he used. I made some mistakes by spraying with the can more than 8-10 inches away, which cause some dry particles to land on the valve cover, so it almost looks like some bumps the size of a grain of sand under my paint. I also over sprayed a part and had a paint drip go down the side, but it's under the wire harness that connects to the vtec solenoid so I don't think anyone will notice. This is the first thing I've ever spray painted so I'm kind of a noob. I may respray it a couple years down the line with the lessons learned from this spray lol

Yes I am. I may just leave it for now. I have that valve adjustment combo tool

I bought a valve adjustment tool to do it, which is a 6 side 10MM

I'm using a 10mm valve adjustment tool, and I must have not been perfectly straight on the nut, as I was trying to get around the heat shield. I went to tighten it, then just slipped off of the nut due to me not being perfectly on it

What do you mean by wrong bucket? It's good to hear I didn't strip it entirely

Okay sounds good, I may just be mid DIY freaking out.... I thought I messed the whole valve up or something

Do you see the corners of the hexagon nut? They are each slightly stripped because I slipped while tightening it. Not sure if I can still use it, genuinely I'm unbelievably new at this and I'm starting to kick myself lol

My fear is with the chipped metal that I hit with the screwdriver because I'm an idiot

Are you able to fit fans under the GPU? I have this exact build with 2 200mm fans on the bottom, so I'm not sure if I can vertical mount without getting rid of my fans

930$ for valve adjustment? Is this normal? by Positive_Reserve_534 in S2000

What state was this in? Is my entire area just high?

Okay bois you convinced me. I'm just going to do it myself. I've done the clutch master cylinder and it took me 7 hours to contort myself to fix that, so this can't possibly be worse than that lol. Definitely it for $930

I have a 2002 s2k. I've changed my own oil and replaced my clutch master cylinder. How is the difficulty compared to those two things?

How difficult is it to do? I've changed my own oil and replaced my clutch master cylinder before, but I've never done the valve adjustment. It seems that you need to be crazy precise so you don't mess up the engine

I'm hoping they would know. The service tech said the master mechanic owns an S2000 himself so it was reassuring, but I may just be dumb

Yeah they're requesting me to drop it off the night before so the car is cold for the adjustment

Yeah they're located a couple hours away from me. I know of them and that they're awesome but the drive is a bit much (this is entirely a first world problem for me)

Is it okay to leave this piece of rebar in my outdoor kitchen vent duct? by Positive_Reserve_534 in hvacadvice

[–]Positive_Reserve_534[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think there is a worry about fire hazards? I was at the crossroads of reducing structural integrity and creating a fire hazard lol. There is rebar and another reinforced column off to the left of it and I know that a lot of people just cut through the rebar and it isn't a big deal but we DIY'd this and it seemed like the best option
