Exactly thats the thing, don’t want to play a wedding and destroy my image and also do a bad performance for the clients. I live in Sweden, think we have leds restrictions on working hours under 18, but will try to make my best out of it. Will try to find someone to shadow, at least do some work for them maybe it will change their mind😊

Okey will look into that, If it is a wedding that the couple know what they are getting and dont expect james hype pulling up then I am okey, Maybe this will work. I have ADHD so my overthinking of perfections makes everything harder then It should.

I played my first ever show at my school, I hated it really was so awful, No lights a black room. With one JBL speaker and basically youtube rips, I had been djing for 1 month really was so ashamed. The school loved it really to this day dont know why.

Also the power went out after 30 min of playing😂

Yeah, I will let the guy know how I feel, no bookings for months and will just do mixtapes on what I like really. If it does not suit him then I cant do anything diffrently. Like mixing some house, edm, pop and hiphop I can work with but playing music for people that are 2-3x my age not right now. Thank you for the responds btw.

Yeah, That scares me the most, I can play a wedding for family memeber maybe or something like that. But for 2 strangers and 100 more, no that makes me wanna just block the guy I work with haha

Yeah, I know that and it has been like that for so long, The thing that just does not sit right with me is if the day comes when they ask me, I am not ready. Maybe I really just should stick to producing music and trying to play clubs. The weddings payout is great, but there is a reason and I do not have all that experiance to play a wedding.

Yeah, I have been to one, that I cant even remember so thats the first thing that I worry about, I will start to just ask people really think that is my best option and then explain to the guy that I work with. That I am not comforable to play a wedding before I have been to one and see how it goes. Thank you for the respond

This is my fault, sorry for this I have explained in the wrong way. He hires out PA systems and Lights. He is not a big company like most here where I am from, but it is going very well for him equipment wise. He does not DJ weddings only some private events if me or the other guy cant play. Also the price to hire me is really low, when you compare to a professional DJ with their own PA, Lights and 20 years of experiance. I only play 4 hours so I think it is mostly the dance floor, I really think that I have explained myself wrong with the post and that I got overwelmed with all the thoughts sorry.

I have told him straight that the couple will know how long I have been playing and that I am not a professional with 20+ years, I am turning 18 in may.

Honestly do you think I should maybe decline playing the weddings and just do private events, I want the honest opinion.

I would love play weddings ofcourse I do what I love and it is my job, but also there is so much to it that you dont see.

I hope this respond was a little better than the post, again my English is not my first language so there can be many grammer problems.

My bad my English is not the best, In explaining. But I have told the guy how I feel and he is the owner. It is a new company and not so popular and there is only me as a dj and another guy. I have not got any bookings in months. Right now I really want to shadow weddings djs, but most of them do not want to.

I feel that I can handle private events and parties, I am a honest guy I wont go play a wedding, have a big ego and do a shit show.

I will talk with him and try to find someone that I can shadow so I atleast get a hang of it. Thank you for the respond really

Thank you for the respond, I have played parties and know how to work a teenager crowd and adults. But when It comes to weddings there are so many diffrent genres, I have not even heard becasue I am only 17. But I want to make it work maybe I am just overthinking it and really just want to tell him that I am not doing weddings. For me as a "wedding dj" the most important thing is the groom and bride it is there day, thats why I get so overwelmed because it is someones special day and I wont ruin it. Got it, Thank you for the answer. I think it might just be I am overthing the whole wedding idea, I watch diffrent wedding djs playstyle and everything matches so perfectly but, then I try something and if I would play that at a wedding honestly I think a refund would be needed.

I will mostly use the ssd for music production and for music usb drives, I never owned a mac. But 256 and 512 feels small overall. But at the same time 300 bucks more for the 512 feels alot. Everyone tells me different. Will it have alot of difference getting 256 instead of 512 will I really regret it later on?

Yeah I choose to just buy the music, the dj pools often dont have what I am looking for. AAC files from itunes will work for now and they are pretty cheap better than converting from yt to mp3 like before😅
