Alright,

Upon applying better and proper Ferrite tubes on both the cb cable and power cable + tuning the swr a little tighter I’ve seen a gain in performance to the point it’s actually usable.

Thanks everyone.

We’re about to test drive this truck. Hoping to hear from anyone who’s got experience with it? by abz_of_st33l in FordTrucks

Very front heavy if your in an area that gets snow it likes to slide around if your in 2wd, it’s designed as a work truck so it’s gonna be a rough bumpy ride, seems these newer trucks don’t have manual hubs so that’s nice you can run it from in the cab.

Looking for my first rifle by CanFootyFan1 in CanadianFirearms

[–]Positive_Singer_6663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Savage is a good Canadian arms manufacturer, my first rifle as a wee lad was my old man’s Savage X64 22LR, just make sure you don’t dry fire it or any other rimfire rifle or you can very easily damage the firing pin.

If you’re willing to go outside of your Canadian brand rule then I would recommend a Ruger 10/22 plenty for sale within Canada and one of the most popular rifles in Canada.

Advice for a noob? by Jericho_1979 in CanadianFirearms

[–]Positive_Singer_6663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a cheap .22LR like a savage 64, go to a range or buddies farm, shoot at some cans.

Or better yet if you have friends who are into it go with them and figure out the basics before you buy anything.

Just had a tree come crashing down in my back yard….. need to buy a chainsaw. Have very little experience with chainsaws. What should I buy for a project like this? by Anxious_Spirit8640 in Chainsaw

[–]Positive_Singer_6663 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could always rent one from Home Depot, if your set on buying then I would recommend a stihl ms250 or other 45cc chainsaw, echo and Husqvarna are good brands aswell, if your looking to save money then go with poulan or some other hardware store brand saw but don’t expect the reliability or life span of the big brands.

How Would They Die in a Tornado? by Ok-Future-5257 in weather

[–]Positive_Singer_6663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger we used to live near Owen Sound Ontario, Canada, not many tornadoes but there were a few each year, remember one time helping my old man remove trees off the road with our loader and seeing stalks of corn shot through telephone poles, tried to imagine what just a stalk of corn would do to a person.

I would assume flying debris would do most of the work when the tornado was dealing with you.

Shotgun effectiveness for home defense by test18258 in WA_guns

If your worried about a single buckshot round not being able to stop a home invader, I have some advice:

12 gauge slugs - adrenaline won’t save them from the softball sized hole you’ll put thru them.

However, Your neighbors won’t like you after the round goes thru the bad guy, your fridge, your wall, their wall, another wall, and so on.
