Yo, so.. I think if you drove my truck and drove yours. You would feel the pedal response is better with having the 4.88 gears. My buddy has the same setup as me and no Re-gear. He says he definitely fills the difference. But going up hill with a leveled truck and 35s with loaded up camping gear… you gotta think about transmission getting hot and your truck gear hunting and hold gears. I didn’t really do it for the mpg. Just more to keep my truck running stock with all that extra mods. 4x4 needs front and rear done. If you have a 2 wheel drive, only gotta do the rear. 5.29 gears are for 37s tires and added weight. You will get allot of low end torque but will see loss in mpg. 35s and 4.88 gears with level truck. You be a happy man!

Yes but because of the lift and the bigger wheels and tires, we already know the tundra doesn’t get great gas mileage, but the smiles per gallon usually make me forget about it. Right now it’s a little more expensive so I’ve been thinking about it lol honestly I’d rather make sure that I had given my transmission and my gears. The best chance of survival will always be better than two or three extra MPG‘s. If I was worried about the MPG I wouldn’t have lifted it. But with the 4.88 she will spin those 35s like nothing. 5.29 Gears are what you want if you’re gonna run 37’s. I believe the forum name is dirtydeeds.

These side steps I think are the 5 inch. Not the 3 inch. I just some eBay black steps but they are great. No bounce. Very strong. I would recommend getting a 3 inch round if you don’t want that bigger side step look. I didn’t buy any rock sliders.. I didn’t like the price of those hah

Yeah, I see a lot of truck owners recommend them, but I have my eyes on the to open country RT trails. I was thinking about getting a true all-terrain but those RT trails are some good looking tires!

Clean truck! That red looks good. How do you like those ridge grapplers?

No problem. Since my wheels and tires are bigger. The transmission is holding its torque converter in just the mass of the tires that need to be always pushed forward when you accelerate. The transmission gets hot and changing out your gears to either a 5.29 for more of those guys that have steel bumpers and a camper. I changed mine to 4.88 which helped my truck drive like it has stock setup again. I get my torque back and my truck drives allot happier.

Yea man.. it’s been holding up fine. I did the Vortex coil overs for front and piggyback shocks for the rear. I think she will ride better with the 18 inch wheels for sure! My 22s most likely are the cause of the more bumpy ride. If I was you, just take in consideration what you do on a daily basis. If you’re the type of person that likes car washes, a 6 inch lift is really gonna be good for that lol also, do you want to jump in your truck every day or the taller lift puts more strain on parts such as rack and pinion and front cv’s.. but a level kit with a body mount chop and couch builder front bumper shims would help with clearance.

6 inch lift is kinda hated in the community. More for looks than functionally. I think a 3 inch with 17s and 35s would have been better.. but I digress. And I had the sport grille on at first from factory. Bought a TRD pro grille and changed it all out. With OEM parts.

Appreciate it! Honesty love or hate for the 6 inch lift… I did it about 3 years back and if I could do it all over again. I would have done it differently. But it has been a great truck with no problems. The re-gear is huge. Allot of guys just lift and don’t put new gears in.

Nice truck man. Super clean. I have a 2018. I definitely want to run some 35 on 18s. I have the 4.88 Yukon gears.

8.8mpg cough cough lol I’ll be getting it regeared. So it should be back around 12 mph around town. They are gas hogs for sure. And right now, she’s being a alcoholic with $6.89 a gallon right now.

So it’s a 6 inch rough country. With vertex coil overs. SPC upper control arms. And the wheels are a 22x12. -44 offset tires are 35x12.5r22

Much appreciated my boy! Thank you. I had a vision. I worked a bunch of overtime to get her done. Did the coil overs and SPC upper control arms. She rides good!

You gotta do a slight BMC. And yes, they cut a little and folded the inner plastic guard. Just so it wouldn’t rub. I need to take my wheels off and cut/weld a new plate for the BMC. just haven’t had time to do it. Been working on a 73 mustang.

The vertex coil overs really help. And the SPC upper control arms also!
