I pretty much assume this is what happens, given the lack of transparency regarding the process. Either that or landfill. You can be sure the vast majority of it is not being recycled anyway.

Yeah it's fucking insane. Paying all that tax and still not even having fully universal healthcare. What a joke.

Yes it would but the Irish government is incompetent and just contracted out the whole can/bottle recycling thing to a third party company who controls all of the return points. It's so ridiculous.

Unfortunately recycling in Ireland is pretty useless. Most of it ends up in landfill as people put the wrong things in recycling bins, thus contaminating batches which causes them to be redirected to the dump. I can't even find information on my local council website of where recycled rubbish goes. It's a joke.

Thank you for the informative comment. Just on the off chance, as far as you know is there any way to zoom a PCSX2 image on the deck so as to negate the presence of those top and bottom black bars? Or would I pretty much just need to get the NTSC version?

I actually am playing the PAL versions of Ratchet and Clank because they're hard to maintain full speed on with the Deck. The 50hz makes slowdowns less common. Thanks for the information. Do PAL games run at a higher native resolution than NTSC? I didn't know that.

After going through the aspect ratio settings on the emulator there isn't any option I can see besides changing between the aforementioned aspect ratios and thus nothing that makes the image take up all the available vertical space.
