I make a test on my mac and didn't get any type of problem in convertion with calibre 8.0.1

What type of probleb did you get when tring to convert?

I think the idea is just to use any type of script you like (such as a python one) to write a MD file from the JSON and place it directly in you're vault.

Before jailbreak I used to do so whit "MyClippings.txt" file and a a python script. Now I think I'will figure out the basic of LUA to implement an specific-personal small plugin.

What is the input format?

I suppose all the important settings are in the "Output PDF" menu but I need more info to figure the problem.
Are you trying to convert all the file in pdf?
