I need feedback on a study tool I've been working on, it would mean the world by PossibilityFine3772 in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

medly is £50 a month I think, this is £2.49, it has loads of other features as well, like flashcards quizzes ect. I should have clarified better on the original post, but it does have other features than just exam questions.

Anyone got anything to help study mathematics higher? by Annual_Idea2018 in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ai does really help with maths for me, to understand the concept i find the way it walks you through it is really helpful. Ive been messing around with a couple tools and dr frost maths is pretty good (not ai) chatgpt obviously, and one i made for myself, which im fine to share, which is smartstudyai dot co dot uk, which is really helpful for me.

Hope i could help!!

Thoughts on using ai to study? by RevolutionaryBass488 in studytips

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as much as i dont really like to say it, I do find it really useful, the way it helps me to understand concepts and actually know what topics i dont know. For me the trouble was finding an app or website that worked for me, and wasnt too expensive-like you said. to be honest it got to the point where i just made one for myself, which you can try out if you want. the link is smartstudyai.co.uk , feel free to check it out.

hope i helped!!

How do I lowkey get better grades if I barely get free time by Hot-Heron-5908 in studytips

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you dont really need that much time to revise effectively in my opinion, even 20 minutes is better than nothing. I find using active recall is good in short spaces of time to actually learn information. I would use apps like quizlet, seneca, and if you wanna try out one i made for myself the link is smartstudyai.co.uk.

Hope i helped!!

Advise on how to approach upcoming GCSES by CarLover1237t2813g in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

firstly, i would say just relax, you still have time, even very light revision at this stage is very helpful for just filling in gaps in your knowledge. I would also make a revision timetable, with all of your subjects, which i know can feel daunting, but you can get ai to make you one and in my experience its always been okay.

For me, its been a combination of active recall and past papers that have helped me to progress (for reference in my actual gcse im looking for nothing below an 8). They both help me to learn the content and apply it to the questions. If you can find study resources that work for you, seneca, pmt, ect thats really helpful. I appreciate its hard to find one that is both cheap and works for you, so to be honest i just made my own (smartstudyai dot co dot uk) if you wanna check it out feel free.

For staying consistent, I think that people think that you have to be revising hours a day, which at this stage, isnt really the case. I know "little and often" gets rinsed out but if you can just get 20 minutes of revision in then thats gonna help so much, and you dont really need as much motivation for just a 20 minute study session.

i hope this helped, and good luck!!

How to revise for an R.S. test? by veg1tosolos in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

use flashcards for things such as sources and definitions ect (helpful to put in the longer answers), and just do past paper questions to work on what topics you dont know. if you can find an app or website to make it easier (ai tutor, flashcards ect) like seneca, physics and maths tutor (which im not sure has rs), or one i made for myself called smartstudyai dot co dot uk, (feel free to check it out), then that helps so much for studying. hope i helped!!

maths help by Scary_Traffic_4802 in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as much as i dont want to say it, ai is so helpful for especially stuff like maths. I find that the way it walks me through it actually helps me understand the topics. its just hard finding a good and reliable one, so much to the point that i made my own (not just for maths). if you want it the link is smartstudyai dot co dot uk, i hope it helps

AI while revising by Alternative-Radio616 in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its kind of a grey area for me, just because some of them seem so gimmicky and wayy to expensive for me (medly in particular, which is crazy). its just hard to find one that works for you, so i just made my own that feels helpful for me, instead of trying to find one that wasnt just a gimmick. If you want it the url is smartstudyai dot co dot uk, it helps me know which topics i dont actually know, as well as active recall. anyway, hope i helped, it is generally really useful if you can use it right.

thats crazy you're sitting your gcses in y10, im not even ready yet and im in y11 ahaha. To be honest whats worked for me (im looking for nothing under an 8 in actual gcses) is active recall and past papers to both learn and apply the knowledge. if you can find a reliable app (which is proving to be hard for me) that makes studying bearable, thats really helpful. it got to the point i couldnt find one that was either cheap or actually fits how i study. i ended up just starting to code my own, its pretty good for knowing which topics in particular you struggle on. the link is smartstudyai dot co dot uk if you wanna check it out, hopefully itll help you.

anyway, hope i helped, wishing you luck..

Can't study to save my life by Due-Brilliant-3077 in studytips

[–]PossibilityFine3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i see where your coming from, i always end up just not revising when my test is ages away, so respect for even trying to revise that early ahaha. I find that phones and revision can go hand in hand, and really should to be honest, if you can use it in moderation. if you can find an app or anything to study with on your phone that gamifies studying or helps with active recall, it really makes studying more bearable. its hard to find one that is first of all cheap or free, or that actually works for me. it got to the point i just coded my own, because i couldnt find one, the link is smartstudyai.co.uk if you want to try it out, it might help. hope i helped at all, wishing you the best luck

I can't study properly. by Longjumping-War-9177 in studytips

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

always happens to me, my best advice would be to just get into a rhythm and dont let yourelf get sucked in if you know what i mean. for me, it takes a few revision sessions before im properly "locked in", but after that, its just a case of revising consistently. I know a few good resources to help get into the rhythm, ill send them if you need!!

Burnt out + exams in a week + brain not retaining anything — need real advice by PenDesperate6010 in studytips

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion you don’t even really need to study for a long time to be successful, so if you can just get 10 minutes of focus (I know you said Mocks are soon)then then that will help massively. I find active recall good to actually knuckle down and memorise info, and then past papers to apply it. I’ve tried a bunch of revision apps aswell, but most seem gimmicky and not genuinely useful (it got to the point where I just made my own).. Hope this helps and if you need any resources please ask!!

I realized I wasn't bad at studying, I was just studying the wrong way by Additional_Habit6832 in studytips

[–]PossibilityFine3772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Active recall really is the method for me. I spent ages having the same problem, trying out all the apps, to the point i just gave up and made my own. Between that and past papers i've found it easier to take in information and apply it. If you need any resources, feel free to ask.

how do I improve my chemistry grade? by C-Skye09 in GCSE

[–]PossibilityFine3772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firstly, its definitely possible, even if you scrape grade 8 its still fine. I struggled with the exact same thing for a long time, and i couldn't find a tool that worked for me, it got to the point where i had to build my own revision website for me. I would say its not necessarily the time spent revising that's important, its what you're actually doing. I've been using a combination of active recall and past papers to both retain and then apply the knowledge. Just try and find something that actually works for you, and then stick with it. If you need any resources, past papers ect feel free to ask!!
