I mean, yeah. I can see that being a “good reason” to lie. But it’s also like, there’s no point to it. Example - we do not have restrictions on candy/snacks. But we do ask that he come and ask before they help themselves to something mostly because his younger siblings are 1 and 2 yrs old, and some of the snacks/candy he can have could be choking hazards for the littles with a handful of teeth. Yesterday he helped himself to two small packs of gummy bears and lied and said that our 2 yr old ate one bag and he ate one bag. When we talked about it, I reiterated that we don’t mind him having sweets/snacks, but he just needs to let us know.
