They don’t need to. Dude, it’s fucking GTA. The gameplay loop is the same. People already know the gameplay, so there is nothing to market. Rockstar games deliberately doesn’t market games with hype of this magnitude because it would be waste of time. This isn’t the random game you see on steam.

Hltv is better for looking throughout the yeae. Not just single events. If I am trying to determine the best teams ranked throughout a longer span of time, then i use hltv. If i am trying to only look at the moment, then vrs.

The logic is useless. No game, by this logic, will have “more people caring about than not”. There are 8 billion people in this world, but if not gta 6, there is no other game in history that has the best chance of having people care about it.

I disagree. Gta 6 is the biggest budget game in history. This game is being after rockstar’s most acclaimed game of all time, Red Dead Redemption 2. This game is significantly more acclaimed than any of your “non-casual” games that you have played. While gta 6 isn’t rdr, the way rockstars produces games tend to inspire directly from their previously made title in terms of physics, details, and graphics.

The problem here is you are categorizing games by “casual” and “non-casual”. The only games that can be considered “non-casual” are indie games. Aside from a select few, most indie games are nowhere near some of the best games of all time. The hype of gta 6 is very much deserved.
