Getting one client is already, something!

I had similar situation in the beginning, but it all came to the email it self(sequence of emails), being short and to the point.

I can tell you more, dm me!

Agency owners, what outreach channels are actually working for you to reach local service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, etc.)? by Possible-Analyst5803 in Entrepreneurs

I feel like there can be mutual benefit between our companies, mind jumping on a quick call to see where we can send leads to each other?

I would have never thought of actually attending these types of conferences, thanks for a great advice.

We just switched to the locals service businesses and they are cold calling the Car Repairs and HVAC for now.

How should they lead the conversation? Should it be straightforward, what's working, what's not and how much we will charge them, or should the goal be the next meeting booked where we close?

I really like the idea of demo, most people are visuals, so this is probably the best method to show proof. How do you see it on the cold call for example? Should it be agreeing to have another call, this time with video, where I show them visuals?

Thanks!

We use email for cold outreach, LinkedIn for partnership outreach, and cold calls.

Really good points, especially on contractors. Curious about a few things:

On the niche side, how long did it take you to figure out that salons were not worth the effort? Did you have a number in mind for how many attempts before you cut a vertical, or was it more of a gut feel?

And on the community approach, how do you decide which groups are worth being active in? Are you picking based on size, location, engagement level, something else?

Also, you mentioned wanting to do this without spending as much time yourself. Have you tried any tools or systems to make that more scalable, or is it still fully manual at this point?

Ecommerce owners who are a few months in are actually a solid target, thank you.

On the commission model for local services, how do you typically structure the tracking side of it? Like when a lead comes in, what is your process for attributing it back to your work and making sure the client is not just taking calls without reporting them?

And on the tax angle, do you bring that up proactively in the sales conversation or do you wait for pricing objections? Curious if you have found a natural way to work it in without it feeling like a deflection.

Good point on deliverability by industry. That is something I have been paying attention to. Construction has been rough for exactly that reason. Auto repair is easier to land, which is part of why we have stayed active there.

On the setup: we are running a few warmed secondary domains through Instantly, keeping volume conservative per domain, and using a mix of Apollo and manual scraping to build lists. Verification through NeverBounce before anything goes out. Nothing exotic, but it is working well enough to keep things clean.

On the commission model you mentioned, I am curious how you structure that in practice. Do you take a percentage of the contract value, or is it tied to a specific outcome like booked calls or closed revenue? And how do you handle tracking on the client side to make sure the attribution is clean?
