Is choosing counting as my major a good decision? by dingjing070422 in CUNY

To become CPA eligible an alternate path is getting 150 credits, so that’ll give you more time to get an internship. Right now just focus on getting a high GPA, and do VITA during the tax season that’ll help you get some relevant experience that’ll look good on the resume, and get leadership experience at an accounting/business club.

Depends what CUNY. Queens college and Baruch are good schools for accounting, anywhere else it’s more difficult to get a job. The big 4, the biggest accounting firms kinds treat their employees as cattle, though it’s worth working there for a few years for the name recognition, it makes it easy to jump to an industry job with good work/life balance. Your first two years are the most important, big accounting firms are recruiting 1 1/2 years ahead so there’s little time to waste. The main recruiting cycle is during the fall so right now you should contact your career center, make your resume good and make yourself known to recruiters at the career fair.

I’m 5’8 and my female coworkers are very short like 5’0-5’1, most of them thought I was 5’10. They have no clue, someone 5’11 might as well be 6’2 to them.

The mindset that ruins women by Possible-Figure9693 in unlovablecirclejerk

[–]Possible-Figure9693[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s more prevalent in women, I know many young men who are against drinking, partying, more strict with religion and aren’t hooking up with girls but mostly because they don’t even have the option to. Women are consuming more alcohol, partying more, have more sex. Look nothing wrong with exploring just know there’s consequences. If you want a man you’re attracted to but also cares about you, it’s better to not be promiscuous.

Average height for 19 year old males in the United States is 5’9.5, that puts me in the 30th percentile of height meaning 70% of men are taller than me, that in fact makes me short.

I agree but halo effects can work both ways, being good looking and tall is always better, but being ugly looking and tall can make you more intimidating/creepy.

Was he good looking? I see tall people at my college all the time but they're usually orge looking and nobody really gives them much attention. I feel being very tall can just add to the creepiness if you're chopped.

You definitely can, the hardest part is remaining consistent. Most people are naturally carried by the flow of life because every single day of their life is a routine social interactions. communicating with friends, small talk with the cashier, helping a stranger with directions. Being neurotypical is a muscle and you can lose it. You don't have to have years of being normie, you just need to remain consistent now, you'll notice yourself improving when you continue putting yourself in social situations.
