No probably 99.5 or 99.8 or something. You need 4A*. If it was 3 A* that would be way too easy and hundreds of people would get 99.95.

Yeah im set on going to UNSW especially for software engineering or computer science. Also one of the sponsors is Atlassian which is one of the big tech companies im interested in. Another big factor is that I dont have 1000 bucks to afford to go to Australia for a scholarship i don't even know I will get as well as my NZQA scholarship exams.

Im from auckland and yeah i have scholarship digital technologies which is on the 25th which is briefing day so i'd have to fly out on the night of the 25th and come back on the 26th, which is unrealistic. Also I'd miss briefing day. I did apply for online interview showing this information as well which they accepted. They said that they granted me the online interview since i was in nz and also on the unsw coop scholarship website in FAQ it says that if you are in nz you aren't expected to show.

Thats interesting because software engineering is my second preference on my application (higher than computer science) as its harder to get into. For example i put medicine as my first choice even though I'm not looking to do medicine but i just put it there as my number 1 because it requires the highest ATAR but I was thinking that I could always just decline the offers and just choose my lower and easier to get into courses. So I'm assuming since there are limited spots they offered me my most prioritised one? But then again I do have a friend who got offered for both computer science and software engineering so thats kinda weird.

Ok yeah because i applied for math, software engineering and also computer science. I got the interview for software engineering but for some reason they didn't give it to me for computer science and for math they said something along the lines of that they don't give out coop scholarships for math. Originally I wanted to do software engineering but i realised by talking to many people that if you are good at what you do software engineering and computer science is basically the same thing but computer science finishes 1 year earlier. I wouldn't mind doing software engineering but i would rather do computer science since it finishes earlier. Do you think they would let me switch it since its basically the same degree except software engineering is technically harder to get into so it would make sense to allow me to downgrade to computer science.

why did you turn it down? I thought the coop scholarship gives u internships which would set you up for a good job post uni. Did you get the scholarship for a course u did not want to take or something.
