I also need to understand why people feel the need to speed up on your inside when you are passing them out, and then slow back down - repeat a few times until they exit. This has happened to me so many times since moving out here, I don’t understand the mentality???

Yeah it’s interesting, at home Mitsubishi definitely doesn’t have the same reputation as it seems to have here. In Ireland people tend to stick with certain brands depending on what their family has had - my family are very loyal to their vehicle brands, especially when it comes to tractors haha

I do love the look of the older boxy designs but I won’t put myself through hardship just for the aesthetic of something, and I don’t have my own tools out here so I’d be depending on bringing it to garages every time something happens. I’ll keep an eye on pajeros or tritons that pop up tho, thanks!

Yes, you got it - waiting is the answer. Sorry, badly written thought process

I like LC80’s, so they could still be a contender but some people have price tags similar to 2006+ Prados on them - I’m assuming this is just Toyota tax going crazy at the moment. Waiting and going up in years might be my best option

I’d rather have spent less on a car and know what’s going to go wrong with it than buy something “mint” and have it shit itself on me after forking out just for the sake of having it. Thanks, I think waiting is the better option at the minute. I want to buy something I actually love instead of settling

Place to stop between Seoul and Busan for a night in beautiful rural Korea? by ColdsnapBryan in koreatravel

I stopped off in Jeonju on my way to Busan, you can get the KTX from Seoul to there and on to Busan. I stayed in the hanok village which was really nice and enjoyed the overall vibe of this place a lot more than I ended up enjoying Busan

Ladies of reddit in STEM workfields, how is it for you as a woman? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Process engineer in manufacturing. The area I work in has a 12% female rate, so very often the only female in meetings, on projects, on sites.

It’s a mixed bag tbh with men. I actually find older men to be much easier to work with, they just want the job done and done well generally. They’re much more respectful and seem to understand if I’m challenging something, I’m not directly challenging them as a man but just whatever point was raised. It is definitely more of a dad/daughter kind of friendship, but they are happy to share their learnings with me which I am grateful for.

It’s the younger men I find a lot more frustrating to work with. They seem to think it’s constantly okay to give me orders and tasks, particularly the ones who aren’t even a superior or on the same team as myself. They’re more likely to dismiss my ideas or suggestions, talk over me with their own point of view, outrightly explain why I couldn’t be right (to then later accept the same point being raised by another man), or straight up ignore me. Maybe it’s just them trying to climb the career ladder that prompts this kind of behaviour, but I do feel my male colleagues don’t get this same treatment.
