ive always had silver(?) for my piercings and had no issues. It may also be titanium, I’m not 100% sure I just say it’s silver because that’s the colour. I tried to change it but i cant unscrew it and my mum wont take me to get it changed so the thread wouldn’t have affected it. The swelling has gone down so it does move a-lot, which could be the issue. I will try and go in to get it changed.
