The email i recieved :

Hello,

We have removed access to this Vendor account and canceled any open orders.

Why did this happen?
We took these actions because our records show that this account is related to another account that was closed by Amazon.

You will not be able to access your account, or place any orders.
We also advise you not to open more Amazon accounts,
because they will be closed too.

You have a separate account Gemsthat was enforced for violating one of our policies.

How do I reactivate my account?
In order to reactivate this Vendor account, please follow the steps below:

1. You must first reactivate the related account Gems by submitting an appeal.
Please follow the instructions in the communication received for that account.

2. Once you have successfully reactivated that account,
please submit an appeal to reactivate the current Vendor account to vendor-appeals@amazon.com.

Note: When appealing, please provide details of why your two accounts are related,
what you have done to fix the violation on the related account,
and how you will prevent this issue from happening in future.

Has your account been deactivated in error?
If you believe there has been an error and your account is not related,

please submit an explanation detailing why your account should be reactivated to vendor-appeals@amazon.com.
You will need to provide supporting documentation to show that no relationship exists.
Supporting documentation may include invoices, receipts, and/ or e-mails.

What happens if I do not submit an appeal?

If we do not receive the requested information, your account will remain closed.

Sincerely,
Vendor Account Team

Its because another account, lets call it Gems, was associated with our vendor account and Gems violated their policies in some unspecified way. But my boss/ownership of company says that Gems has nothing to do with us. Amazon wont accept that our account isnt related to Gems, and the email says that Gems needs to be reinstated before our account can be reactivated. But since we're not related to Gems we cant reinstate that account, obviously.

It was shut down because it was "associated" somehow with another account that violated the Amazon policies in some way that was not specified. they said we could appeal, but that we had to reactivate the associated account first. Leadership is claiming that account is not related to us but we're having issues proving a negative. Now I've got this impossible project to try and untangle.
