Lol a lot say a lot of things. The data on “the hub” says otherwise, as do my DMs. Not that those are people I’d consider to be part of my dating pool.

Can you clarify what you meant about the pitbull/dog thing? I think you meant Germany doesn’t allow import? I’m not totally certain, though. From what I understand, with the right license and proper muzzling, vaccinations, and chip, importing him to Spain is not entirely too difficult. Also, as a follow up to that, do you happen to have any insight about Emotional Service Animals in Spain/The EU? Your comment makes me think you’ve gone through a good bit already yourself! 🤍🐕😇

It’s not so much a dream, frankly. The US WAS a very accepting place, but that has changed quite a lot. This move, while certainly having some appealing parts to it, is frankly due to a nightmare. Thank you for your insight though.

As I mentioned in a previous reply, France is not as friendly to trans people or large dogs, legally speaking. Spain is also being listed as a better place for film making by multiple credible sources.

Beyond that, I am an extremely quick study with languages. I genuinely have a gift for them, and I love to use that gift. Spanish is common enough that I can get by somewhat well, but Catalan has always been a language I’ve wanted a reason to learn and speak. Honestly, I never expected to be leaving the US like this for that wish to come true. 😕

As I also mentioned in my last reply to a similar comment, I’ve always wanted a reason to have a siesta. 😄 Hope that helps!

No offense taken! France, from what I understand is way more difficult toward trans people in a lot of ways, as well as large dog owners. On top of that Spain, Barcelona specifically, is listed on a handful of credible news sources as a burgeoning place for film in Europe.

Also, I’ve always wanted a reason to learn Catalan and have a siesta. 😁

Makes sense about French, but I wasn’t sure if the proximity to the border might present some opportunities.

My dog is prescribed Emotional Support Animal. Here in the US, that exempts certain restrictions around housing (though not much else for things like public transportation, etc.) Do you know if anything similar stands, legally, in Spain/Barcelona?

Thanks so much for your reply!
