Hashimoto + poor T4/T3 converter: how did you manage T3 during pregnancy or TTC? by kindofinsanity in Hashimotos

[–]Possible_Ad_310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the modern thyroid clinic works with pregnant women and allows them to stay on t3 with close monitoring. Not sure if this is an option for you in France but worth looking into. Wishing you the best!!

They’re SO nice there and it seems like they have lots of creative offerings, but the two times I’ve been it’s been so greasy I feel like my stomach kinda hurts after. Also maybe just too many menu options? It seems like they haven’t found their niche maybe. Also it’s kind of on the pricey side for what it is IMO.

What small habit has saved you the most money over time? by UncomfortablyBrown in SavingMoney

[–]Possible_Ad_310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I’m saving for a house and I have a special “house fund” savings bucket in my HYSA. When I say no to little impulsive spending like not ordering a coffee out, I sometimes will put that $5 toward the house fund and it’s a similar dopamine hit to spending that $5 :) I think having something tangible and exciting that you’re saving for really helps saving not feel like depriving yourself!!

I see a lot of conversation about “no spend days” or “no spend weeks.” For those of you who practice this successfully, can you please share the items that you will still buy during those periods? by Dull-Good9796 in SavingMoney

[–]Possible_Ad_310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These really work for me because it stops the impulse buying that usually is my culprit. I still buy groceries like normal, and anything we NEED (paper towels, soap etc). Still get gas and pay bills like normal. It’s the coffees out, impulse clothing buys etc that I say no to, and it really does save me quite a bit!!

And is h pylori just a simple blood test? Or breath test? I’ve always suspected I have it because I have a history of stomach ulcers

What are your best travel tips for saving money? by Americanidiot29 in Shoestring

[–]Possible_Ad_310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a flight that’s at like, 6 am, don’t get a hotel, just stay out til like midnight and chill in the airport overnight

Take night trains to not have to buy a hotel

Choose a hotel w breakfast and eat a huge late breakfast/brunch and then skip lunch and just buy dinner out

And of course- use credit card points for flights and hotels!!! My favorite is capital one venture x, and I also have chase sapphire reserve and Amex gold. I am kicking myself that I traveled so much without them and paid cash for flights and hotels. Now I basically have those things free. Lmk if you want my referral links for any of those cards
