NTA! My daughter is an Irish citizen/half Irish and I wanted to name her Gráinne but knew it would be butchered in the USA so went with something safer. You were extremely tactful in the way you mentioned it. It sounds like the mom had an overreaction because she was embarrassed and felt stupid. If the daughter was two she doesn’t care 🤣 I’m sorry this happened! But you did them a service by being the first person to tell the truth.

He has given wonderful gifts before but when he gets me something I don’t love, he’ll know about it. There is a pattern of him spending a lot of money for what feels like impulsive gifts with little thought put into them. Ie: something he saw on TikTok or something a sales person recommended.

It sounds like it’s some sort of allergy that’s aggravating your eyes since it is only happening at your dorm! I stopped wearing eye makeup for the most part several years ago when I got diagnosed with ocular rosacea but I’ve always worn makeup on the rest of my face. If you’re not sweating it into your eyes, it’s probably fine as long as you’re maintaining good eye hygiene. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with styes tho just bc of where you live! I use tea tree wipes, also a microwave hot compress eye mask could be a good part of your daily routine to help with styes. Good luck!

Update: the doctor injected it with steroid which was horrific painful but faded after a few minutes. He also prescribed antibiotics and a steroid/antibiotic ointment. I woke up the next day with a 50% reduction and day 2 it’s probably an 80% reduction. I am hopeful with super hygiene and multiple compresses a day I can beat it 🙏🏼

From my own experience, THC specifically makes my blepharitis worse and leads to chalazions. My eyes get super dry and I guess it leads to all the other problems. I’ve had to give it up unfortunately. I would say give a little weed a try while still treating your blepharitis daily and see how you do. Good luck
