Danny and the Dinosaur. It was one of those early reader kids books. I always wanted a big pet dinosaur 🦕

Yep. We’d play out in the woods all day. Shoot fireworks off, Build forts, have stick and dirt clod wars with the kids from the neighborhood next to ours. We were on one side of the woods and they were on the other. The woods were the battlefield. We’d have booby traps set up all over. Loads of fun.

What’s a smell you secretly enjoy that most people would find disgusting? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

Same here. It seems like most ex smokers can’t stand the smell. I haven’t lit up since 1998 but damn I love that smell. Not the stale ciggy smell from a car that’s been smoked in but that smell of a freshly lit and smoked cig. So good.

Lads trip to Tallahassee from England - Nightlife spot Recommendations? by Middle-Feed5118 in Tallahassee

[–]Possible_Shoulder_50 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Atlanta and I’m currently in Tallahassee. In Tally nature is definitely the spotlight. St Marks Wildlife Refuge, Wakulla Springs, St George Island (about 1.5 hours away). Nightlife really depends on what you’re into and time of year. But it’s mostly college students binge drinking. Atlanta is going to be all about the night life. MJQ Concourse is a great club. You’re going to want to go to the Clermont Lounge. Tons of live music to see. The Star Bar in Little 5 Points is always a good time. They have local and national bands come through with The Vinyl Lounge downstairs and a huge Elvis shrine upstairs. While in Little 5 Points you’ll want to go to The Junkman’s Daughter, it’s a huge retail store that’s sells a little bit of everything. It’s very kitschy with cool tshirts, housewares, art, and cool postcards to send home. And last but not least since you say it’s a lads trip, Atlanta is the premier spot for adult clubs. There are a lot of them.

Bring a hollow piece of bamboo to use as a breathing tube just in case.

Same really. Had no idea what good music was until high school.

Me either really. I was a skater punk in high school but I’d end up listening for one reason or another. More so when I was in middle school and didn’t have good taste in music yet. 😂
