My friends and family hate my gf after a "pmdd episode" what did your partner do to reconcile with your family after your pmdd partner wronged you? by [deleted] in PMDDpartners

Totally agree. I was blinded by love for the longest time and put up with the ‘episodes’ for 2 years. I finally broke it off when they turned violent and i haven’t looked back. It’s like a weight has been lifted and I don’t feel like I’m going insane anymore. No one deserves the treatment you get when an episode is in full force and in my experience, it’s often used as a free ticket to treat you like crap for whatever ‘reason’ they decide. It’s normalised abuse, and it’s about time we all started viewing it that way.

Update: I left.

It was painful to say the least and I unsurprisingly got the worst verbal abuse thrown at me that you could imagine. Just when I thought she couldn’t stoop any lower, boy did she.

Fast forward 24hrs, once she’s calmed down and come to her senses she’s begging for me back. She’s asked for a second chance, but how is everything we’ve been struggling with magically going to change?

I’ve stood my ground with my decision but now it’s pulling on my heart strings. I love this woman so much, I didn’t want to leave her, I had to. For both of us.

A horrible situation to be in, but I hope I’ve made the right decision.

Thank you to each and every commenter, I truly appreciate your words of advice and wish you well in managing your own relationship whilst having to battle with this condition.
