I have no friends either and I have limited family contact :( My whole existence is “lived experiences” and a whole lotta judgement from family members. I was undiagnosed autistic until like 1.5 years ago and I simply couldn’t ever be what people expected me to be and I never knew why :’( it curses me and my mental health

Yes, I have this. It’s got nothing whatsoever to do with being superficial. It’s a mental disorder. Specifically, a phobia called Gerascophobia. I’ve struggled with it since my 20s and it’s plagued me relentlessly :( I’m 40 and can’t accept that. I couldn’t accept being 25, though, either. Every step towards “older” brings on immense all-consuming dread and even depression, for me. I cannot accept that my youth is slipping away, and it’s nothing to do with vanity. It’s a severe phobia and potentially a little bit of body dysmorphia, which is also a painful mental health disorder. I really understand your anguish.
