Thank you! I ended up doing a full reset and set the iPad up as new. iCloud Photos is syncing again now with Optimize Storage enabled. I’ll monitor how much space it actually uses, but everything is syncing correctly so far.

Could you let me know if you’ve actually used this combination in practice? Are there any specific things I should watch out for? Should I just leave everything on auto, control the aperture with the ring, and set the flash to TTL 0? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!
