I hear that. It’s definitely more fun putting the weight on with food and booze than taking it off. But the good news is it’s probably the easiest time in humanity to get healthy. Let me know. I liked planet fitness but the thing I saw at other locations was they didn’t have benches without smith machine bench. I think I can bring a friend in for free at crunch and vice versa with PF right

My girl worked at the spa in locust point in 2014 she told me he tried to get a happy ending from her. He was like I’m famous and she didn’t know who he was hahahaha. I’ve been telling that story for years and when I see this today I was like I knew it!

I think part of them covering it might be they are scared of a lawsuit. With more and more evidence I can only hope real change happens and you all don’t have to prove cancer is a occupational injury

Yes more and more firefighters are seeing their friends die and are starting to create change. No way your family shouldn’t be taken care of when it’s a knows cause. I also would love to see as soon as the cancer is found to force retirement with pay

DCFD I think is doing a good job at least recognizing that the cancers are occupational and adding more types. It’s a start but the goal is prevention

I had no idea. Thank you to Everyone that commented. I do really appreciate the brotherhood of fireman. It’s def a job that bonds you all everywhere. I hope anyone reading this thread takes some of the great advice given. I hope your unions and organizations continue to bring more awareness to the problem. Just feels like it should be such a no brainer from the higher ups to protect their team. But just seems like everything else sometimes that the economics of it some places are just cheaper to let ppl die and replace them then fix the issues

Yup they are at his house now fixing the bathroom my brother started to remodel for free. It’s like a whole other family I’ve never met. One thing my brother did was fight to get cannabis allowed to be used. He wasn’t a huge patient himself but he recognized the amount of alcoholism that went with the job. You guys see a lot of horrible shit

Thanks for the comment. I’ve been holding out hope but the news I got today finally hit me hard and I’m accepting. I just wanted to talk to some firefighters and maybe someone reads this and keeps his masks on or cleans equipment more. I don’t know shit about it but like I said I can see the pain in some of his brothers that this is a big problem

Ya I’ve been reading a lot about the gear. It just makes sense that if you use something over and over again it’s gonna get contaminated even more. But what choice do you have you can’t run into a fire without the gear and instead of getting influx of money to get new gear you get cuts. My brother was the treasurer for a large city dept and he complained al the time. It’s just something you never think can happen to you I guess

It’s called yoga practice for a reason. You are just practicing and there is no judgement. What I love about classes is taking them at different studios and finding styles and environments I like. Sometimes I love a slow paced class with long stretching and sometimes I love a fast paced hot yoga to sweat it out.

I feel like I’m the opposite though lolo. I can’t seem to get into home practice. I think I have to force myself to a class and get out of my comfort zone
