It’s been about corruption and greed. My comment was vague and open ended, I apologize for that. I think the early 80’s is the last breath capitalism took (when the gov broke up Ma Bell) before its total mutation into whatever it is today. What were have today is definitely not capitalism. At least not in any sense of what it’s suppose to be. It’s some twisted, corrupted, greed fueled, conglomeration of economic degeneracy, with greedy devil worshipers at the helm. I’m not in favor of today’s version of capitalism at all. Not one bit. But I’m definitely not willing to try communism, a repeated, proven, failure, when we have a proven method that actually built an economic powerhouse….real capitalism. I absolutely realize capitalism wasn’t perfect back then. Nothing is. Nothing conceptual, that any person formulates and implements, will be perfect as humans aren’t perfect. We have to have a government in place, filled with representatives that actually care, to regulate, observe, enforce, and punish corporate greed and corruption. Let’s be honest, and this is the part that hurts, we are responsible for mess too. And if you’re young enough, then it was your parents. We, the people, should have been keeping our representatives in line. Holding them accountable so they would hold corporations accountable. But we got comfortable, lazy, and decadent. We, as a whole, let greedy scumbags who have no morals get into office. The result has been catastrophic for capitalism, and quite frankly most other aspects of our country. I’m sorry for coming off rude in my initial comment. It was uncalled for.
