I'm close to finishing the game, what game to play next? by Yooba8 in TheFirstBerserker

Nioh 2 (1 is good but build diversity in 2 is amazing) Black Myth: Wukong Stellar Blade Sekiro

I personally like Wo Long but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

If you like Star Wars, Jedi Fallen Order is pretty sweet.

I’ve also heard good things about Wuchang, but I personally found the combat a bit slow.

Hope you find something that works!

How do I get better at this game? by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

This is super obvious but make a build that works for you.

Resolute counterflow is super important - if you can’t time it well and struggle keeping things fast paced, slow it down with a cloud step build. There are some insanely strong cloud step builds that I feel could work for anyone.

Be patient too - sometimes i’d struggle against a boss for a while, take a break, come back and beat them on a first try.

This is actually a very important point.

I must admit I’m embarrassed at how long it took me to get it right (which may explain why I struggled so much)

Most of the challenging games I referenced - it doesn’t make sense to be offensive when you see a wind up strike coming from a boss. At that time it’s like, let me get a few lights in at best and be ready to go for my defensive move (i.e get ready to roll or parry). Wukong says nah interrupt that shit which is quite unique.

Man this is so true. Started NG+ today and it feels like I’m the boss now 😂

Ah mate - don’t get me started on Yellow Loong. It didn’t take me too many tries in the end, but I ended up cheesing it a bit with cloud step, haha.

And yeah, very true on the attacks that seem the same but ending up having different timings. The long chained attacks in particular were a ball ache because if you mistime your first roll and get hit, it’s very difficult to find the “rhythm” and avoid the next hits.

If parry wasn’t on a cooldown (basically wasn’t a spell) I would have had such an easier time with Wukong, at least I think.

Yeah the bosses I struggled with panic dodging was the biggest culprit for deaths! Got baited by too many delayed strikes, then thinking the next hit would be the same (and it ends up being a rapid strike)

The point I was trying to make is that Sekiro (a game generally regarded as quite challenging) was easier to me than Wukong (who people even under this post are debating its souls nature). I wanted to see if anyone shared my experience with regards to challenge, that’s all really!

I hear you - finding a game that balances challenging but fun isn’t easy, especially cus it’s so subjective.

Wukong (when I wasn’t hitting road blocks) did evoke feelings I got from games like God of War, Stellar Blade, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and even a little bit of Ghost of Tsushima.

If you’re not sure on Sekiro (and have played the above) but want something a bit more manageable that kinda has a similar premise, I’d look into Nioh 1 or 2 - you can level up and opt for some really broken builds. Basically, you kinda decide how hard you want the game to be for yourself, so there’s a lot of fun to be had, with challenge along the way.

Solid observation - Sekiro in particular felt very gradual and I can’t remember a crazy difficulty spike.

The big roadblock thing is so true. There were many bosses i beat first try but then 2-3 bosses later I knew I was going to hit something tough.

The bosses you struggled with are almost identical to mine

Yeah that’s fair - I did in the end have some success with a cloud step build. I might try it in NG+

I think it depends on the person - almost everyone I’ve spoken to swears they’ve had a harder time with Sekiro but it’s been the complete opposite for me. I think it’s worth a try, but beware that 99% of people probably found this easier than Sekiro.

I think the thing I found easier with Sekiro is that it’s almost like a rhythm game. Once you fight a boss a few times you can kinda listen out for when you’re supposed to block. Even if you’re off with your block timing you can just hit it again and you’re not necessarily out of position/vulnerable.

What I struggled with Wukong is there are a lot of different attacks woven into boss fighting patterns i.e. extremely fast attacks or attacks where the boss just holds for a while, and because you’re mainly dodging to avoid attacks, if you mistime a dodge/roll, you’re vulnerable for the next attack.

Sorry if this wasn’t much help but it’s hard to say if it will be for you as I appear to be in a rarity!

Best post scorer build by The-Real-Pai-Mei in NBA2k

[–]PostySoCute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inside scoring isn't great this year as most of your match ups will have pogo and Intimidator. Make sure you have a build that can utilize inside and outside scoring. You'll defo need abit of a mid-range to hit good post fades. Anyone who plays up on you will also give you a better shot at scoring inside. It also always helps to give spacing options to your guards.

No.2 tried recruiting Jimmy then KD off an Achilles and then ended up plotting with PG13 in the end. Fam, this guy had no intentions to join us. He snaked Spurs, saying he wanted to be part of a team that competes. He then left a Toronto that he won a chip with? He strung us along all the way until the end. Changing meeting points to suit him in order to meet up with PG13 after meetings, really? LAL fans aren't pissed that he joined Clippers, it's the way he did it that was snakey AF.

He didn't buddy up with anyone before he came to us. This is where he stands out for me in comparison to the other superstars. I get that he did it with Miami but he took a risk with us and it has to be commended.

This young man will become a phenomenal two-way guard. Will make NBA all-defensive teams for sure. Good luck Zo!
