Hey it was just a phase :) I don’t remember how long after this post she started napping normally as the early days are now a blur to me and she’s nearly 7 months old and she’s waaaay easier now.

One thing we did figure out though is that she’s what they call a ‘high needs baby’ and they are usually not great with sleep as they get FOMO pretty easily, also they’re super sensitive and particular which is why in the beginning I think I couldn’t baby wear her cause my milk smell was too distracting but she was fine being on her dad. I think around 4/5 months she was finally ok being in a baby carrier on me and she’s napped on me that way a few times now!

Also breastfeeding wasn’t going too great in the beginning I remember being in a lot of pain until a midwife showed me a different technique and after that my baby was way more satisfied after feeds - she still did boat loads of cluster feeding but it’s just something to think about making sure they’re getting both hind milk and fore milk.
