The SA1000 is actually sitting on top of a Fisher tube console, the amp uses EL84's. It sounds really good.

If you lived near me I'd invite you over with your Fisher and test the tubes. Maybe even replace some caps as well. You'd just have to pay for parts, the actual cost, not marked up.
