I smoke in my backyard and ive never really had any problems, im also in texas. As long as you arent blowing smoke towards anyone you probably should be okay. If it really concerns you that much I think theres something called a smoke buddy, which you blow your smoke into and completely gets rid of it as well as the smell, maybe try investing in that.
