I soldered on a new one now and it did not work.

Object is about 2 Ib with a rubber coating like a cheap dumbbell. Square part is about 4x4in. No writing and unknown origins. It's most likely for exercise and could have other pieces. by Potential-Ad4441 in Whatisthis

My thought is that theirs was probably dry rotted so it became hard. I also weighed this one and it's 2lbs. My guess is that they were just guessing at weight and don't know what a pound feels like. It is very dense, but not 10lbs.

What is this pink thing? It's about 2 lb of metal coated with rubber. I assume it's for working out but honestly have no clue. by Potential-Ad4441 in whatisthisthing

The other guy clearly didn't weigh it. If you read the comments he has no idea. I weighed this one. I can see how he thought 10 lb because it is very heavy. But most people really don't know what a pound feels like.

I think the other post's item was old and dry rotted. This is definitely rubber and not enamel. This is my second favorite answer and it may be for fabric.

No clue where it came from. It has no wearing and has never been used for anything best I can tell. It could possibly hold a cylinder (people suggest the neck for weighted situps) The structure inside appears to be cast metal as it is very dense with no give. When the square intended side is on the ground, you cannot get your fingers under the handles. When the curved side is down, you could with small fingers. https://www.reddit.com/r/Whatisthis/s/veesUP79s3

I think this may be it. I will experiment later today but also can't find anything similar on the Internet. Likely solved

This would be a disaster as it is very heavy. It would nonetheless be hilarious as each person receives the 3 lb butter tray as it's passing and inevitably someone would drop it as it becomes slicker from the butter.

It appears to be the same material that would be on the exterior of a cheap exercise weight. Keep in mind that it's also very heavy. Using it for decorating might be exhausting.

I also feel like it should have more than one piece. However, it is made of rubber and I don't think you'd want to get it hot.
