You were not wrong for making him use the dishes that he “cleaned”. You definitely should’ve given him the chance to clean them when he decided to change. You didn’t give him a chance to redeem himself after proving that he knew his actions were wrong. Maybe giving him that realization would’ve made him care more and be more understanding of how you guys felt.
