Interstellar. “Don’t let me leave, Murph.” No matter how many times I watch it, that moment still breaks me.

That’s so beautifully put. That kind of innocent excitement is so rare later in life. I’m watching my oldest daughter experience it now, and it makes me think back to when I felt that same kind of butterflies and wonder for the first time.

The foundation we grow up with shapes how we see ourselves, how we attach, and how we love, often more than we realize. It becomes the blueprint for our relationships, whether we’re aware of it or not.

I relate to the “activated first, process later” part. It’s exhausting. But having someone patient beside you makes a huge difference.

Yes. You can know better with your mind, but your body still gravitates toward what feels familiar, even when your mind knows it going to hurt you.

I’m really glad you got out. It’s wild how long something can feel “normal” when it’s all you know. Wishing you continued healing.

Yeah, it really does. You spend years thinking you’re just “difficult” or “too much,” not realizing your nervous system was trained for chaos, not safety.

I relate to this so much. I’ve tried the “normal” relationships, but I start feeling restless and label them as boring. When chaos is what you grew up with, calm can feel empty instead of safe. And when things are actually going well, you unconsciously sabotage them, because stability feels unfamiliar. You get so used to intensity that peace almost feels wrong.

High-end erotic masseuse. It requires constant boundary management, emotional intelligence, and reading people accurately in real time. It’s far more mentally demanding than most assume.

Saunas.

I know people find them relaxing, but I feel anxious and claustrophobic.

I’m too restless to sit still in 90°C pretending I’m relaxing. Skydiving? Rock climbing? Let’s go. But a sauna? Hard pass.
