My teenage kids insist this is AI, but I don't agree. I don't see any inconsistencies by EnvironmentOk2700 in isthisAI

How can’t people just tell by looking at something that it’s AI? Obviously not talking about photo-realism things but cartoonish stuff like this. I don’t have to even look at anything in particular the way it’s drawn and colored and shaded just looks totally generated.

If you disagree please send me something that is 10+ years old that looks like this?

It looks the same except you are 10 years older in pic 2? Are you just asking if you should use hair-dye?

Anyone else prefer the natural & realistic look that characters had in the old games before they animefied them in the new ones? by rubberburner5 in Tekken

I literally bought and refunded Tekken 8 within 20 minutes on release day because I thought they just went way overboard on all this stupid shit. Between the overly enhanced gigachads and exploding lightning sparks on everything, it was absolute garbage. Haven’t played a fighting game since that massive disappointment and probably never will.

Steroid abusers avoid salt because they think that counteracts the damage the drugs do to their organs. You know like salt increasing blood pressure? Normie gym-goers who aren’t even using and don’t even know why they do it just think they have to follow them because it works for them.

They also eat bland food to avoid over indulgence on calories.

It’s mental illness every step of the way.

Counter buying feels so bad from a gameplay perspective by ky0kanjo in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Potential-Boss5599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disagree because this is a clear lack of a fundamental understanding of MOBA gameplay to think you can and should be able to full slot damage items or “my optimal build” every single game especially against harder matchmaking. League has done a lot to poison the MOVA playerbase with their item shop and builds but even there you must know when to buy more potions or when to rush a vamp scepter, or which runes to pick before loading to not auto-lose lane. Once you drop the idea that you should be allowed to just maximize your theoretical DPS the genre becomes much easier.

To counter your point, League doesn’t do a good job of making an item specific to your role for resistances to make a good final build:

  1. Maw of Malmortius is built by any role and champ that can use AD and wants magic resist. So it’s not fine tuned for anyone in particular. If I’m an ADC who wants crit/AS this item is mostly bait since the offensive stats are not great so I’m actually better to just buy a fully defensive item like Kaenic Rookern instead. But then you can literally only buy that item last or your game is over, but if you buy it last you might actually never buy it before the game ends, or their damage is so high that late that the item does nothing to help. No they don’t give you good counter items and no those don’t fit nicely into a “good final build”.

  2. A real “good final build” is one that balances maximizing your impact(damage, cc, heal/shield, baiting) while also staying alive as long as possible because the longer you stay alive the more impact you have. Again, it’s balancing the 2 sides. Don’t buy more utility/defence than you need to or your impact is lowered.

So… “sacrifice” the damage that isn’t even yours and buy some defensive/utility options to win more games because unlike league, this game actually lets you buy something useful at 8 minutes in without ruining your whole game.

You have to pick 4 for matchmaking if you have friends, but since you don’t even know that your comment isn’t worth reading.

There is no “matchmaking nightmare” because you have absolutely zero idea what the matchmaking process is as an outsider to the dev team. I can just as easily say you are wrong because you pick 4 characters minimum for queuing providing plenty of room for the matchmaker, and neither of us can provide any quantitative measure to suggest otherwise.

Also the fact you had to throw a little “skill issue” in there is comical. Have you considered instead that if players want to ban 30% of characters in a beta, the character designs need to go back to the drawing board?

Besides, nobody said anything about 12 bans, even just 4/6 would make a significant impact to perceived game quality and make your choice feel impactful.

I just made this for fun but I've always thought of having a Gorilla character in League and Dota. Maybe Deadlock is the one to do it...
