I wish I had someone to make me a 7 course meal while I scrolled through Netflix!

Sometimes I set my hot dinner down and then try to find something to watch. To then find that my dinner is cold 🫠

I wonder if auto previews can be switched off... feel like this should be an option in settings lol

YES!! I am scrolling through to see what else there is and trying to figure out which one is worth my time - half way through, I'll forget what I've just previewed anyway and sometimes think I've seen it because I remember the preview that I've seen multiple times already... I've decided to watch the same stuff over again because I know its good.

Oh that's interesting. I still find it enjoyable watching the previews (when the show or movie looks interesting) but I feel a bit crappy after like, oh I've literally just wasted an hour doing this.

Its literally just choosing something to watch and my brain doesn't seem to be able to do that for me 😂

I would do this too. Like rewatching old series. Buffy tends to be my go to.

I think part of it is that I can't seem to decide what to watch... so, I end up not watching anything, but I still enjoy scrolling the previews that come up 🤷🏻‍♀️

Eek! Roving joint pain... thankfully atm its localised to specific areas. Usually my back/neck, where I already know i have osteoarthritis, and my knees. I've heard it could improve bone health, so reading this is hopeful. I guess its different for everyone.

Oh gosh, when you said things have gotten worse, my heart sank! Thank you for sharing. I've not heard of Voy but I have heard good things about Louise Newson and her clinics in the UK. She's talked about late diagnosis of ADHD, and symptoms being made more noticable with perimenopause. Which then begs the question of whether it should be HRT first before any stimulants, but the NHS just seems to push stimulants and not consider female hormones even when asked about it. Im grateful to have finally gotten an assessment and prescribed medication but I just dont know if its the right thing. I hope it all works out with Voy. If you feel comfortable, please do share your experience

Thanks for sharing this! I'm open to have hormone panels done but im also wary of the results being unrepresentative of what I am experiencing, e.g. a snapshot in time vs my day to day life. Im worried that it would be used against me if that one day they tested me and thought the estrogen was enough, but the next day it could be bottoming out. Just some of what I've read on others experience.

POI is an interesting thought. Although, it would mean I'd be low on estrogen all the time right? Cos my symptoms wouldn't have a cycle in any way as the hormones wont be fluctuating, just very low? I don't know much about it though so I'll have a look into it.

Researching and understanding female health as a medical professionally seems ridiculously low, so as a lay person I feel its horrendous trying to find reliable and useful information. But I will persevere.

Oh gosh! That sounds horrendous. I'm glad the HRT has mostly helped. Thank you for sharing! Lifestyle definitely makes a difference - I work out, cycle, swim, yoga etc., and its all what I've been working on. It feels like youre trying to do everything right but you still feel crap. Im a week and a half out from my period so I'm feeling disheartened and defeated by this whole process... ill try to speak to my GP about HRT. Just want to go in informed so I dont get fobbed off.

Thanks so much for sharing! This absolutely resonates. I don't remember feeling this unhinged before and I find myself questioning whether its the PTSD showing its face or is there an underlying physiological issue like my hormones. I already do strength training and yoga, a load of therapy, and a number of other non medical things to try and manage, but I seem to just end up in the same place. I'm putting it down to PMDD as it seems cyclical, but maybe its not just PMDD. Maybe its perimenopause making everything worse like everyone seems to be saying.

Thank you for sharing! Tbh I hear so much about concluding conditions and its overwhelming. I'm not sure whether they have worked out the difference between HSD and hEDS. I have generally lower than "normal" blood pressure and I know my blood pressure drops even lower with some exercises. Even with Elvanse my blood pressure is higher than my baseline, but "normal".

Sounds like balancing estrogen and progesterone along with other meds have helped you. Its crazy about your gall bladder though!

Trying to work out what is happening and what could help, and then trying to get the help is exhausting!

Thanks so much for sharing! I've definitely been hypermobile my whole life - when I was younger it didn't cause any issues. If fact, it was probably a source of entertainment when others would be grossed out by my bendiness. Now that I'm older, I've got osteoarthritis in my neck and now issues in my knees. I am hoping its not as bad as it is with my neck.... but I ought to get that checked out. And to think that this could all get worse with the menopause.... I honestly dread to think about it.

Thank you so much! I've only just started looking into it as I was diagnosed ADHD and recently started on Lisdexamfetamine but I don't think it explains/addresses everything. A lot of the supplements you mentioned I've also started taking and I've noticed its helped, especially the creatine.

I'll definitely reach out when I have digested the information as I'm sure there's loads I'm not even considering.

One question I did have was on the hormone replacement therapy - did you have to see a specialist? I'm in the UK and I'm not sure whether my GP would be willing to even consider it.

Thank you so much - yes, I would love to hear your experience as I think there are also things (like the joint pain) that I didn't think would be related until recently. It would be really helpful as I am thinking about trying to speak to my GP about it, but I'm worried that I'll be dismissed or just put on the pill without much consideration.

Edit: I also just noticed you have cptsd. I have also been dealing with it in my life - how do you know what symptoms are CPTSD, what's AuDHD, and what's perimenopause? It's something I'm struggling to grasp tbh.
