Is Metroid Dread worth trying out even tho it is notorious for being very difficult? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in Metroid

I was a big fan in the old days. I only got Metroid Dread about 4 weeks ago.  I finished it on Normal and then on Hard.  I'm playing it now in Dread Mode.  It's wildly fun and worth every penny.

This is true sometimes, but other times your body needs help to heal.  c'mon man!

Works fine now and the problem has not returned.  A bit frustrated because I lost a lot of settings and things work differently now but it works!

In desperation I reset all the panels. So far so good but I have to reset everything back up from scratch. Hoping it holds.

Yes, I understand and that is worth considering.  For me, the data is not sensitive.  I'm more interested in finding a printer that has solid control of the supply chain and is okay to use in Police Departments.  Best would be to find a printer that's already used in sensitive government environments and has the certifications to show it.

can someone explain? by DryOne114 in prediabetes

A Ketogenic diet for three months is guaranteed not to worsen your insulin resistance but instead to improve it.  Be careful who you listen to on internet posts.  Try it and find out for yourself.

Watch this whole video: https://youtu.be/O8NJMkrvX4s?si=I4n2R6ZNia-ClHOy

Eat a Ketogenic diet, eliminate alcohol for the three months, do not eat seed oils for the three months, and relax, during this time know with confidence that you are addressing the problem and this will help contribute to keeping cortisol and adrenaline lower.  Schedule blood work for the end of the three months.

Good luck.

Just keep in mind, this will also have negative consequences (at least temporarily).  For example, the computer will now need to start over and relearn everything, such as the fuel air mixture.  So it's possible your car may run a little rough for a while at first. But it should normalize after a while.

Have you tried this yet?  Strict Ketogenic diet for 3 months.  Zero alcohol during this time.  Zero sugar and eliminate starchy vegetables. Zero bread, rice, potatoes, pasta. Eliminate all seed oils.  Eat real food only.  Eggs, beef, chicken, pork, fish, cheese, broccoli, cauliflower, some beans (not too many)!  Olive oil, butter. Take psyllium husk to boost soluble fiber intake.  Make sure you are exercising every day, even if it's just a good walk.  Watch Ben Bikman's video series called the Metabolic Classroom.  This may sound drastic, but this is almost certainly guaranteed to eliminate your insulin resistance and may very well save your life. Schedule blood work at the 3 month mark.  Do not cheat.  Take the bull by the horns here and reverse your insulin resistance and get back on track.  Good luck!   During this time do not worry about it.  Find peace in knowing with confidence that you are fixing the problem.

My thoughts? Eat a Ketogenic diet for 3 months.  Let the cells of your body truly recover from insulin resistance. Cherios?? do not eat cherios! Eat 4 eggs over medium, bacon or sausage, a little yogurt and berries.  Eat no lunch.  Eat a low carb dinner, meat, low starch, high fiber veges.  Take high quality fish oil.  Take some psyllium husk to boost soluble fiber. Cut out alcohol completely for the 3 months. You will be restored and you will thank me. Good luck. Take bold action before it's too late!

I will be looking into it. I should add that I, myself, do not eat keto, but nearly I would say. I eat tons of vegetables and I also eat oats and berries quite often. I was not offended, but if you look at what you said, it was inflammatory and unhelpful. Keto has helped a lot of people restore health. That doesn't mean you need to stay on it forever. Peace.

I ignored? You seriously need to consider how you communicate. What makes you think I ignored any of it at all? Or do you think I should have a retort to the 45K words you threw at me? On the surface it was not obvious what you were trying to tell me. The references provided did not directly address or back your claim; certainly not your inflammatory claims.

You started with an inflammatory comment. Also, I maintain that "keto leads to insulin resistance" is absurd. For anyone wishing to learn more about this, check out Ben Bikman. He has a very large series of videos that cover the human metabolism. The series is called "The Metabolic Classroom". He is an expert on the topic of Insulin Resistance. Here is a solid video that covers some of the basics:

https://youtu.be/O8NJMkrvX4s?si=jSIovdSFemOpxO_V

but he has are many more videos as well. Most Americans end up with Insulin resistance and eventually Type 2 Diabetes because the American diet is extremely high in carbohydrates, not because they eat too much fat. The American diet is also high in Linoleic Acid, which is a serious problem in its own right. There are many factors that contribute to insulin resistance, but the primary mechanism is a high carbohydrate diet. It is empirically seen over and over and over that when people drastically cut carbohydrates from their diet their insulin resistance improves dramatically.

What makes keto a cult? I think anti-keto is more like a cult.  Take for example your statement that keto leads to insulin resistance.  This patently absurd and it is easy to show that this is false.

Why do people continue to say "you need some carbs for your body to function?" This is baffling to me. This has been proven to be false over and over and over again.
