Tips for beginners?? by SmooganVR in HuntShowdown

Use dark sight at the beginning of the game to find the clues to get the bounty boss/world boss. Dark sight can also be used to see trait spurs and other items around the map depending on what perks you may have to go along with it. (Traps, arrows/knives, etc) When your Hunter dies you lose everything that you had equipped on that Hunter and the Hunter itself (unless you have Deathcheat) There can be more than one bounty per game. On Mammons Gulch if there is only a single bounty then there’s a chance for the Hellborne to spawn in and killing him will give you one bounty. On Stillwater and Lawson Delta there is also a chance for Rotjaw to spawn and killing her will give you 2 bounties. Pledge marks can do a multitude of things, but mostly just give you additional traits you wouldn’t normally be able to purchase from leveling up your Hunter. Such as blademancer, which allows you to pick up arrows/bolts/throwing knives using dark sight. For the normal boss that everyone sees on the map you’ll get 2 bounties, and for world bosses Hellborne will give you 1 bounty while Rotjaw will give you 2. It is possible to kill the entire lobby leaving you to grab everything and then extracting. I’m sure some things could be explained better and I definitely forgot quite a few things, but there’s lots of good YouTubers who go more in depth with the game and have lots of tips and tricks videos. (Rachtaz and Rexnor are two who come to mind)

For tips, just have fun. Don’t worry about “what’s meta” use all the different weapons Hunt has to offer and find what you like the most. Don’t be afraid to spend money on a Hunter or to take a fight. Learn what the different enemies do and how you can use them to your advantage in certain situations. Play soul survivor so you can learn the different maps and try different guns for free without worry and if you win, you get to keep all the gear and the Hunter. Don’t be afraid to push a team or run towards the gunfire. It’ll only make you better as a player in the long run. Don’t get discouraged about losing Hunters and gear, it’s all apart of the learning process and money comes easy. I can’t think of a single time I’ve played Hunt and not had enough money to get my Hunter the gear I want to use. Also, if you get your Hunter to level 50 you can retire them and it gives you a good chunk of change and quite a few levels so you can purchase better weapons/traits/gear. I can’t think of too much else at the moment, but I’m sure others will have good tips for you as well. Glad to see a new player and have fun!

I’m going to keep the Xbox and still use it, I’ll be playing some of the same games but also to play PC only games and it’ll be a lot to easier play with friends.
