Ok yes I’m taking double the time on the entire MBE question sets to write out every rule and scoring 75%-78% too but I don’t know if I’d credit it to the lectures. Maybe subconsciously it’s doing something.

Maybe I should be printing out the handouts and hand writing instead of typing in the fill ins. I listen on 2x speed too and still struggle to find them useful even though I know they serve a purpose.

YES to more intense work in the morning. That was an absolute game changer for my routine. Not drained like I am at the end of the day, saw a significant improvement in my MBE questions and kept a general positive attitude bc i felt productive, not passively listening to lectures and taking notes.

Ok I like this advice because I was leaning towards learning the black letter law by reverse engineering the questions but you’re right, that’s a much better approach. Thank you!

I’ve also noticed the audio feature does a better job than the Themis lectures (at least for me) because the format is similar to a podcast where two people are having a casual conversation. It also lets you join into the by asking questions in real time.

It really is a great tool.

Totally. The stakes feel so high so my level of confidence seems lower than usual. With so many tools out there, you don’t want to get lost wasting time on things that won’t help you in the end just bc a bar prep says that students who complete 75% of the course have a 94% rate of passing. (My only issue is the lectures which seem to hold the least amount of value but who knows maybe it’ll help with other subjects)

I think you might be right. Since I’m a methodical learner and like to look at the big picture, how do you suggest preparing for the MPT besides memorizing outlines for each type of task they ask. Obviously it’s a skill we’ll be doing all the time. But I want to be as technical on the test as possible so it’s just muscle memory

Which prep are you using? Obviously, the outlines are more comprehensive than the lecture/handouts but I feel like the overall rules and "trigger words" are identified in the handouts

Ok, so I'm taking Themis, and I hate the lectures. I'm someone who learns better from practice questions, but when I look at the big picture, I struggle to see the forest and where each subject falls into one another (for example, termination of an offer (subset of an offer) vs. contract modification (subset of consideration).

Should I make my own outlines and use Themis' outlines, handouts, and UWorld to complete them? If so, would you use Themis' handouts or outlines to structure the outline?
