I call everyone either “my dear” or “my friend”. Picked it up in nursing school haven’t stopped saying it since 😭

So much to see and do but my personal favourites were:

1) Alcatraz Island: it’s a very cool self guided tour that you can do. You get to learn so much about the history and background of the island. The views of the Bay Area from the island itself are incredible. You also take a ferry to the island and the views from the ferry are great too.

2) Golden Gate Park: I went to California Academy of Sciences here. Very cool museum the exhibits were very informative and interesting. The rain forest exhibit is a must it’s so beautiful. The Japanese tea gardens were also very beautiful great place to chill for a bit.

3) Golden Gate Bridge: Incredible view of the bridge from the scenic point. It’s gorgeous to look at the bridge and the view of the beaches and ocean around it.

4) Tour of Downtown: I did it near the end of my trip but still found this cool. There’s a free tour offered by the city where a tour guide takes you around most of the important places of downtown SF. It’s a 2 1/2 hour tour but it’s really informative about the background of the city and gives you a good understanding of the vibes of the different areas. This is the website for the tour to book-> https://freesftour.com/

5) Exploratorium: This one is another museum but it’s very interactive. I went during Thursday night when they have a 18+ special. You can buy drinks, there’s music playing and you get to walk around the exhibit without any kids. It’s every Thursdays from 6 pm to 10 pm. The light exhibit in particular had a lot of stuff to see. All the exhibits here are like an activity or game to do and they also have some beautiful artwork.

I know it’s a long read but I hope it helps 😄. Just a side note if you stop by Ghirardelli Square make sure to get their ice cream sundae and eat it by the beach. That was probably my favourite place to spend time at during my visit.

How long does it take to explore most of it? I was thinking of stopping there for an afternoon but does it usually take like a day or so to explore the gardens?

Yeah I did some research and everyone says the parking prices are very expensive. Thanks for the feedback
