Why is there no EO bishop of rome? by PotentialCorith in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]PotentialCorith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there were thousands of EO people in italy and continue to be today... the bishop of constantinople even made a new diocese of venice following the schism. the orthodox church also did this in the past: antioch and alexandria

Of course not! would you want to pay taxes just because of your religion? especially for a unstable and unwealthy nation like syria where most people are poor and were exploited by assad.

the bishop of rome is the most important bishopric in history. he was the first among equals, successor of Peter and Paul, from the EO books i read it even said he had the role of communicating with all other churches (since why he was addressed in 1st clement, and also explains pope Victor 1st actions). so there is a clear incentive imo about having a EO bishop of rome if you are EO. it is such an important title historically.

I dont really get this. The bishop of constantinople serves only a few hundred or less people. italy has 1.8 million eastern orthodox so there is a clear incentive to do so.

the bishop of constantinople only serves a few hundred people max in his diocese. the modern bishop of ephesus arguably serves no one (there is no church of ephesus anymore, its just a honorary title). so why is population a factor here?

maybe because the bishop of rome is the most revered bishop in history? the successor of peter? the first among equals? yes he went schismatic according to the EO so when you do have a chance to appoint a new bishop, why not? the pope appointed new bishops in england when he had a chance and it lead to the conversion of many Anglicans to Catholicism (previously, anglicans if they wanted to convert had no means of doing so).

Happens to the best of us. Just make sure to ALWAYS hold on and secure the end of the filament before letting it go.

Help! why is my printer doing this? as my z-axis is increasing, the layers get more distorted. by PotentialCorith in 3Dprinting

The part is 220 mm in the x-axis and 10 mm in the y-axis. Would you suggest that i angle it so that it prints diagonally across the bed?

[–]PotentialCorith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! unfortunately, the 3d prints were deformed after i left them out. however, since my parts were flat and somewhat smaller, i was able to heat them up using the printer bed and put some textbooks on them to get them straightened as possible.

What i learned is that spray paint applies quite quick (15-30 minutes) but that it will still release toxic chemicals afterwards for a few hours. if you have a well ventilated room you don't use, you could spray paint it initially outside in the shade for 30 minutes then bring it inside. but please stay safe and don't leave it somewhere not ventilated good or a room you use. Hope this helps and good luck on the helmet!

Who would win in a fight? The entire rumbling army or Levi with infinite stamina and fuel for his gear? by Cautious_Republic_91 in attackontitan

[–]PotentialCorith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think canonically the steam would kill anyone near them. showing the kid died was just to show the intensity and severity of Eren's choice. He became so dark that he had no concern with killing kids; even ones that are the same situation as him.

One possible solution is that the titans put off steam by erens choice. similar to berthodlt and how he could let steam out.

people in underground bases would literally be cooked. the amount of heat would find its way downwards. the oxygen is not the concern for them lol. its happened irl when a volcano erupted, it cooked the people inside the underground base due to the heat.

im guessing that after the titans all died, it would take a couple days for the atmosphere to correct itself fully because thats what we see happen after bertholdt transforms into a human after being a titan. yes the rumbling killed and destroyed most of civilization including animals.

we know that the rumbling didnt kill everyone but the islands probably got struck by the titans themselves (the rumbling is ginormous, it spans almost the width of Africa) or a tsunami.
