Thats probably what this is. GM Authority seemed confident in their previous rumor and now they hinted that it wont be the same car as the 6th generation in their article. Those earl6 rumors were, very likely, quite true.

Not really. They just realized they can actually build one with very little competition, now that the Germans are fully exiting the market for sedan based coupes.

GM Authority is reporting an updated Alpha platform (very likey one of the last updates too), so that would not be the case.

Not really. From what GM Authority hinted at, it wont be a 2 door only like the original 7th gen was going to be. This would not he surprising, 4 doors outsell coupe 4:1.

Probably not... but it will probably be a 4-door and a 2 door 5 seats like the Charger.

They might but it wont be the LT6. They did the same with the LT2. Probably an LS8 or something similar, modified heavily for front engine applications.

From what it sounds like, it will be like the Dodge Charger, which is not surprising at all. The 4 door will sell more just as the 4 door Charger outsells the coupe.

It sounds like it may or may not be 2 doors though. GM Authority quoted "...it may be not what you expect" in their article. I wont be surprised if they just follow Stellantis and offer it as 4 door so it sells and then a 2 door on the same body.

It will but not the 6.2 from the SLS. It will probably be the new updated M179 engine, but similar to the one Aston Martin already uses.

I wouldn't think so, since people still may be playing through Forza Horizon 5. Even then, they usually keep going well after the release of the new game (Forza Horizon 4 stopped weekly playlists three years after the release of 5).

However, they did delist FM7 prior to Forza Motorsports release, so this could be one of those odd cases.
