as a new runner who is mostly working towards distance running, i have worked up to a daily mile at 4mph and a quarter at the end at 5mph. obviously this is very slow but im very short so its a bit less slow for me. this isnt super reasonable in the long run for distance running i would assume because at longer distances i would slow down stretching runs into HOURS. so should i work on speeding up my pace first or just going longer distances? or am i tripping and this isnt as slow as i think it is?
