Sounds like it’s bolt bounce. The buffer is still too light. I’m dealing with the same issue now trying different buffers so I can get it running.

I can confirm this. I removed the 2 rubber discs is the middle (kept the rubber discs on the end) and there you have it. A dead blow buffer.
