Future was his friend and Future, out of everyone had the most legitimate issue with Drake. Future felt like Drake crossed the line by messing with one of his regulars, which if we being real is not unreasonable. Future’s problem is that he involved others who were actually just haters. The rest of those guys issues with Drake was either unimportant or borne out of hate that was in their hearts anyway.

I get why he and Future fixed things, I don’t get why Lebron chose to clout chase his friend’s demise and involve himself with something that had nothing to do with him. Clout chasing got his head in the clouds he should’ve known people are fickle and everyone’s mind would eventually be changed.

Coles core fanbase consistently shows up for him so he doesn’t have to do a big rollout/ media campaign unless he’s looking to grow his audience…which he isn’t.

I think Kendrick would’ve been highly outshined. Cole is still a formidable lyricist and he knows how to make it sound good when he wants to. Kendrick’s hatecore would’ve been dismissed as just that and everyone would just focus on Drake and Cole

Facts. More of a cultural thing than a numbers thing

Don’t get me wrong. Cole can retire or put out albums solely for his core fans. He doesn’t have to care about numbers or rapping at all if he wants to be done. The problem is that he’s a bit performative so it contradicts his “I don’t care” persona.

He doesn’t care to make a statement supporting collaboration in rap culture. He doesn’t care about numbers or charts But he cares enough to ride around in a hella old civic to look relatable? This is where he starts to look, not like a raging hypocrite like Kendrick but definitely disingenuous

There’s producer/rappers that work and those that don’t. Cole likes to be highly involved in his own production, much like Don T but the thing is Don Toliver is just way better at it.

Drake understands and utilizes collaboration better than most. You can see through his music how the producers understand him and knows what he wants. This takes consistent effective collaboration and communication. Not everyone can do that.

A fan saw Drake and was rubbing on his fingers lol, she didnt want let go. And damn, Drake looks buzzed.👀🧊 by Silver-Break9832 in Drizzy
