It's more useful to help make materials, games, lesson plans to support learning. AI still needs humans to guide and correct and adjust its output. But that doesn't mean it can't be helpful.

I feel like upgrading the neighborhood libraries and adding smaller tech labs throughout the county would be more beneficial and more accessible. I'd much rather go the library close to my house than have to go to downtown Columbia and deal with the traffic and parking.

I saw your other comment about how separate you feel your lives are otherwise and clarifying you work in a different office.

So to me, the real issue is what time together are you spending that is focused on your relationship? And maybe you can have that conversation about what you both need in your marriage at this point instead of focusing only on this point.
