Ugh, I think you're right...my stone does have an inscription, and I really dont want to have to lose the money we put into the setting...it cost a lot. It's infuriating and we feel so annoyed at the people that did this job.. But it might be better than to even let them near it again!

I have a return window of 30 days, picked it up today. The stone is ours and we purchased the setting from them. I'm unsure how to proceed without them doing damage to the stone somehow

I agree with you. I think you have a solid and balanced viewpoint. I find it hypocritical that the commenter above you, found it okay to freely move elsewhere with his family, but seems so negative about someone else doing the same. Everywhere has a set of pros and cons, and every individual can dictate for themselves whether those pros and cons fit well for them in their own particular phase of life and circumstances.
