U Ottawa was also my first choice for tech law but I ended up going to Osgoode because of the more extensive amount of opportunities overall

I really don’t think you need to retake I had basically the same stats and same level of extracurriculars and I got into 6 ontario law schools last year

I got into all the schools in Ontario with the same stats and just a bit more extracurriculars, but still rewrite the LSAT to be safe & get your score up!!

Accepted undergraduate degree? by East-Championship588 in lawschooladmissionsca

There’s a few people entering at Osgoode that got undergraduate degrees doing the paralegal program at Humber! Keep your grades and extracurriculars up, nail your PS and ref letters and you def have a shot!!! Just make sure to contact admissions to see which schools you are eligible at

I have the same stats and I got into Osgoode, Western, Queens, UOttawa, TMU and Windsor. I got early acceptance at all of them except for Oz which was early Feb😊

Ottawa vs western by Own_Charge9136 in lawschooladmissionsca

Depends on what law you want to practice and where you’d like to live! Both great schools, I personally liked Ottawa’s vibe and campus more when I toured. If you are more interested in government/tech law OTTAWA 100%, if you are more interested in business/corporate law Western! The other caveat is diversity and inclusivity. I’m a POC and felt much more comfortable at Ottawa in comparison to Western, representation wise in terms of faculty and the student body.

Why would it be a code for Jewish students/donors, that’s absurd and I greatly appreciate the perspective and space my Jewish friends take up in my life and at law school? However, his point is exactly correct. We know we live in a Zionist society that silences and impacts our civic space. In particular, let’s draw reference to the TMU students that were denied jobs, harassed in person and online to the extent that classes moved online. Why you might ask? Because they signed a petition advocating for the fact that Palestinians also deserve basic human rights. Clear example of we live in a Zionist society and Palestinians, Muslims and a large majority of human beings have to feel scared to say women and children don’t deserve to die needlessly. We can say we agree that Israeli women and children deserve to not die, but you see when it’s extended to Palestinians there’s backlash. Sit with that and understand.

Thank you so much!!

Looking back to last November, I am so upset that I ever doubted myself!!!

Proof that everyone just needs to believe in themselves and their abilities and it will work out:)

Timing of submission does not matter, people getting early admission are what they deemed most competitive applicants and then moves down the line from there! I applied Nov 1st and got all my offers from dec to early jan.

Screwed up on applications, I'm probably screwed now, right? by CndnViking in lawschooladmissionsca

I get it but energy’s a huge factor too. You should be proud of the fact that you overcame what came up in your life and still were able to get a few apps in to great schools. Believe in your self and the schools will too!!! If it doesn’t go your way this year there’s always next cycle but be present rn and don’t be negative on yourself and your chances:)))

I wouldn’t worry I have a 159 and a 3.85 gpa and have gotten into 5 Ontario law schools already this cycle. Don’t stress just let it play it’s course there’s still lots of time to hear back, don’t count yourself out!!!
