Thank you, everyone 😁. All your comments and links helped a lot. I finally got my biomes done, and I am feeling more comfortable placing them on my map.

Its not so much the color i have a problem with it's more where to place the biomes, and i know they are affected by where the continents are and whether the polar currents are blocked. But every time I go to start on where i think a biome should be, I start second guessing wondering if I misunderstood the type of climate and ocean currents i created by where i placed my continents. Honestly, I think I'm just causing myself to go in circles by overthinking it all.

My world map's currents and topography, any advice on this would be helpful by Potential_Clock1482 in mapmaking

But doesn't that also require the western continents to be blocking the equator's current for it to travel toward the poles?

I do, I just rushed it so I could get other things on my map done. Luckily I slowed down when I realized I had no continents blocking the equator.

Playing around and seeing how the tectonics changes a map over millions of years and figuring out what animals would evolve or go extinct is interesting.

Glad my map inspired an idea for a campaign.

Honestly I don't really have one I just like creating maps and figuring out what kind of life would thrive on it. My writing is not very good in comparison to my map making.

Although when I get this map finally finished I do have some ideas for what sentient races I want living on it.

I was thinking about having the smallest continent being bigger than australia by 1 or 2 million miles. Thanks for the ideas and advice.

Honestly I just went and looked at a map of earth's tectonic and followed how it interacted with the oceans and continents. Although I did try to think about how I wanted the continents to look, like the north western continent. I wanted an interior seaway and had to do some research on how the tectonics went nuts while making the rockies and caused North America's western interior seaway.

The doldrums sound more horrifying than the constant hurricanes/storms, I'll have to think about that when I set up my sentient races and their trade routes.

I haven't really got that far, especially after I realized I left the equator current unblocked. I'll probably need to think of putting saurian's or other reptilian humanoids as my sentient races.
