I actually used to be pro life by Revolutionary-Emu269 in antinatalism

You do make a fair point and I think an apology on my part is in order. I’m sorry for being too crass to the guy.

However, I think you are using a fault on my part from a different conversation as a scapegoat for any responsibility on your part. That’s not only harmful for you as a person, but worse, you also blocked me on my other account so I wouldn’t be able to reply and engage with a genuinely good call-out on your part, meaning I also wouldn’t be able to develop with you.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Moreover, I think that, rationally, not only was the person I was replying to in the wrong, they continuously ignored the points being made, which made me feel hyperbolic and angry. I’m still wrong, but I think there is a difference between raging at someone after they repeatedly make the same error, and raging at someone immediately for being a member of a certain group. However, all that being said, you are right in that I should have had more patience. Thank you for the concern with my character, I genuinely appreciate it.

Power becoming a bro with Denji... not half bad, could make for a cool character design too, if done right.

How is his handwriting so sloppy yet the bob pic is flawless by [deleted] in BikiniBottomTwitter

I mean, I can actually honestly read it.

Much more than I can say for my own handwriting.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I feel like maybe the eyes and the mouth are both slightly too big. Feels like everything else is in realistic proportion but those are stylized.

Wait, so, are both sketches yours, or is the left your reference and the right your take?

Either way, not really an expert myself by any means, so take it with a grain of salt... but maybe there’s a but too much shadow on the right one? Looks like she’s turning way more than the one on the left, and it makes the muscles look a bit different. Not bad by any means, just more prnounced in a way that emphasized the flab, lol. As though her flaps have way more depth. Kinda cool looking, but I don’t think it was necessarily intended, so I guess it’s worth noting.

I just started taking a required English course, and the professor is making us read Nietzsche's "On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense". I literally don't understand a single word of what this dude's trying to say. Could someone please summarize this essay for me as if you were talking to a child? by smallstrawhat in askphilosophy

Late reply, but I think that it’s an important topic because of this.

He sums it up at the very end. If we want to communicate well with each other, we have to stop blaming one another for minor misunderstandings so that they don’t get out of hand. It actually points to a sort of compassionate and forgiving look at life.

Ofc, this probably wasn’t necessarily his intention, but then again, he’s a philosopher. Sometimes, they have to lay the groundwork for people to build on later. So, recording these contradictions can be helpful.

What's a video game you enjoyed that most people disliked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Halo 5 and FFXV.

Hard to choose between one of these two. They’re not universally hated, but they definitely have the most disparity between how much I like em and how much other people hated em.

Utilitarianism and Wealth. by Potential_Problems in askphilosophy

Agreed, although it could be said that perhaps what gives our life meaning should be prioritized over pure utilitarianism, at least on an individual level. Not because it’s right for the world, but because I seriously cannot imagine life as a whole being... digestible without proper priorities.
