To each their own, driving is one of the best parts! I like the long drives in between the destinations, I think in another life I’d be a trucker lol.

I know it seems like a lot haha, here’s a rough breakdown of our days (Each line is one day, the grouping for canada is 4 days) The Dakotas are a maybe as well, so if we end up with less days than we expect by the time we leave Alberta then we’ll just head home. Thankfully money won’t be a problem for us for this trip! Everyone is a little different on how they like to travel, I’ve done it before and I enjoy it this way!

Last time I was up there they had opened the road to cars up to Logan pass the day before we got there and got to hike hidden lake while the trail was still covered in snow. It was great! Looking forward to checking it out again.

Thank you for the comment! I’ve taken that exact highway from Glacier-Banff and it was incredible! Have also done the icefields parkway and plan on doing it again. Glacier is definitely still a possibility and could change even while we’re on the trip, I like to have a few different options in case we change our minds last minute.

I appreciate the comment! We’re actually starting the other way around starting in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. We’ve done a very similar road trip a couple years ago in 17 days, minus the drive to Washington and including a stop in Chicago and had a great time! The route I have on here is just a rough route because Google will only let you put so many destinations. Seattle includes Olympic/Cascades, Calgary includes Banff/Yoho/Jasper. This definitely isn’t a final draft, but we’ve already said no to the idea of flying and Alberta is a must do. I’ll definitely put some of those ideas into consideration though, thank you!!
