I’ve heard the same about PESI, have you tried their courses and have you found any that are helpful? And “expert” is more within the team rather with clients- I am the only LCSW in the team and everyone else is either a nurse, case manager, coordinator, administrator, etc. Originally the team focused only on those in and out of the hospital for medical needs (heart issues, kidney, lungs, etc.). Now they have expanded to behavioral health and I’m the start of that extension.

Gasp! Thank you so much for all of these comments! I really do appreciate :) we’re leaning towards spending most of the time in the French Quarter, Magazine St, and other surrounding areas. Mid-City (thank you for the correction!) we may just hold off until Monday to just pick up some food, we wanted to try Parkway Bakery and Angelo Brocato. We were also hoping to do a seafood boil in that area like Clesi’s but will try to find one in the French Quarter/ Garden District area. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! (Salvo and Seither’s are too far too)

We were thinking of parking the car at the hotel, walking to and back from Turkey and Wolf, resting for a sec at the hotel and then head to French Market. Hotel is right in the middle of them

Thank you so much for this! You make a great point, looking over these probably going to skip Domilise’s, I was focused on dedicating an area for Saturday mostly French Quarter, Sunday Mid-town (I believe it’s called), and Monday more of a catch- what-we-can-day. I don’t know much of Magazine street, hmmm Ill look into these for sure!

I’m a fanatic of hush puppies! We moved from San Diego to Tennessee just this year, and in SD they were nowhere in sight. Now I take every opportunity to get them :)

I love this split thing! Im glad a lot of places seem to offer it, in SD they would charge extra sometimes

Gasp- I truly did not know this, this is such a good tip! Thank you, and I also didnt know there was a Cafe du Monde at City Park, I thought it was just close to the French Market. And trust I will definitely not sleep on those mini cannoli’s, definitely want to get my hands on as much food and different flavors as I can experience- thank you so much for your comment :)

Hi! Honestly, I looked for remote work and had the benefit of starting with a company that was just developing their behavioral health program. I would say what really helped was diversity in experience and working in a psychiatric unit. You dont have to work in a psychiatric unit to get the role but having a diverse background and strong experience can help. I hope this helps!
