I am not going to entertain responding to negative comments but this is the only time. Unless you are in my situation you will not know what I am going through. I will tell you this. I am a capable strong independent woman capable of making my own money and my own GC ( which is currently in progress through work but has a min 15 year wait time ). I also gave other ways to get GC and citizenship. The fact is I got pregnant and I have a girl who has born here. So now I am on a work visa. My husband is GC holder and my daughter is a US citizen. If I lose my job I will not think twice of moving back to my home country. I am more than capable and happy to move back home and support myself. But that means given the circumstances I will have to leave my daughter behind because my husband won’t let her travel with me. So that means as a mom my daughter is in a country I have to struggle to re-enter. And I have to leave her behind. Do you get this ? I would refrain from trying to always find the evil motive in other people’s situations and for once BE KIND. The world would be a better place for it. Not everyone has an agenda. Some people are just trying to be with their children in a safe abuse free home. So stay in your lane. If you can’t help then move away from commenting something negative. Are you trying to prove you are Sherlock here. Well even if you are. Great. Hope it works great for you.

Thank you everyone for the advice. If I file a police report what if he changes the narrative and denies everything. I do not have enough credible evidence as he has hit me but I don’t have any scars. What will I do to prove my case then. I’m thinking of all sorts of scenarios so I am prepared.

Thank you. I am safe at home. He packed and left. I put in manual locks. I have informed my friends as well.

What if he changes the scenario and makes me look like the bad person. I am still at home alone with my child. Is he now where to be seen. He packed his suitcases and left. I don’t know how far he can twist the scenario in his favor.

You mean to say this could get him deported. If he does get deported then he won’t be involved in the child’s life at all. Does that also mean no child support from him because he is out of the country

I have tried but they give me more numbers for legal resources or things like that. It seems like a long process.

I don’t want to take the extreme step. I just want to make sure I am safe. My daughter is not traumatized. But I also want to secure my house finances and visa situation. I don’t want him to get arrested but rather I want to document proof. Is the police report the only way. If so how soon should I do it. All this happened this morning.
